Vitamin C in skincare

Vitamin C:

  • Is an antioxidant

  • Mostly used for its brightening effect(gives the skin a nice glow! especially when paired with sunscreen)

  • is a naturally occurring chemical found in citrus fruits such as lemons and oranges (and many other fruits too), carrots, etc

  • reduces skin dullness by neutralising free radicals

  • reduces Hyperpigmentation by inhibiting tyrosinase activity( tyrosinase inhibitor)

  • is a gentle way to treat hyperpigmentation

How to use Vitamin C in your skincare routine:

  • Vitamin can be applied at any time of the day

  • Vitamin C degrades in sunlight. Applying sunscreen helps reduce the vitamin C degradation

  • Applying excess can cause irritation
